TC "Portaying My Europe"
Start date: Mar 31, 2012,

“Portraying My Europe” – new media training on European reporting is a follow up program on the successful YIA training held in Ohrid in 2011 under the name “Integrating EU online”. Young journalists from more than 20 countries gathered in Ohrid to learn and practice reporting about EU issues using the new media. Since the project was very successful and had great impact on the public (http://www.mladiinfo.com/web/mladiinfo-organised-the-international-training-integrating-europe-online/), youth media organizations, more specifically Mladiinfo as a hosting organization, decided to apply for the follow up training that will be organized in 2012 to extend the knowledge about reporting on specific topics as: 1. The impact of the financial crisis on youth unemployment in EU and EU neighboring countries, 2. Youth mobility inside the EU job market, 3.EU Internal and external migration of youth and their influence on the market economy changes. During the training young journalists will learn how to report about specific topics using the new and social media and the various ways they can be used for disseminating information and ideas. One of the most important aspects will be teaching them how to operate with multimedia tools, how to edit photos and videos and manipulate audio recordings. A special accent will be put on tips on writing feature stories and reportages concerning youth employability and the problems young people face on the job market. Example stories will be made during the training and published on www.mladiinfo.com and its blogs, as well as other web pages.
