Search for European Projects

Tavoitteena kielitaitoinen suvaitseva maailmankansalainen
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Hermanni School is a secondary school in Salo providing bilingual teaching. We are seeking for financial support to develop teachers´ pedagogical skills in bilingual teaching and to enhance international relations. Our goal is to update bilingual teaching to meet today´s needs and to know better how to coordinate projects and create international communication in everyday school work. We want to create a network both locally and more widely to reach the above mentioned goals. Five teachers from our school will be attending to supplementary courses. They are eager to develop and share the knowhow that they gain from that training. The teachers will participate in courses that will provide them with better skills in teaching in English. Furthermore, they will learn how to take part in international activity in our school. Integration between subjects is important not only in sciences. Science teachers will attend to appropriate courses. Hermanni School will be active in connecting with English speaking schools in Europe. We are ready to act as a coordinators in various projects. These connections are maintained by common working, video talks and taking part in international projects. Bilingual teaching will be a natural part of studying and learning at school in an international context. This kind of education will advance tolerance among our students and offer them possibilities to act as committed citizens. We will know that we have reached our goals when our former pupils come and tell us about their lifelong learning and success in international life.
