Távmunka infrastruktúra közös fejlesztése a vállalati távmunka határon átívelő lehetőségeinek megalapozására / Spoločný rozvoj infraštruktúry a vytvorenie základov pre možnosti cezhraničnej práce na diaľku (Távmunka infrastruktúra fejlesztése / Rozvoj inraštuktúry pre prácu na diaľku)
Start date: Sep 30, 2010, End date: Dec 30, 2011 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project aims to advance the spread of one of the most successful telework practice, the telework centres, both in Hungary and Slovakia. We intend to prepare and set up two telework centres one in each partnering country. In both countries, distant working or telework will be one of the most promising opportunities for rural employment during the upcoming decade.Similar lack of adequate teleworking business infrastructure of the partnering areas in the project provide outstanding reasons for common realisation and cross-border co-operation on local level. The commuting of people of these areas, the difficulties of providing attractive telework environment for employers strengthen these reasons. Similar problems require similar solutions. The novelty of our initiative is in the methods to be applied: the technologic, legal, HR and task management aspects of telework centres. Besides, the common coaching of potential teleworker and employer target groups will base solid ground for the long-term successful operation of the business infrastructure to be established. Achievements: One of the biggest problems of Nagykőrös in Hungary is the low potential of the economy and in this context the lack of workplaces. A significant number of employees have to commute and the migration of the well qualified work force is on the rise. In the village of Svodín in Slovakia, the problems are similar. The employees are commuting into the nearby cities and the number of work places is very low. The project partners decided to increase the number of workplaces and seek for progressive alternatives. The aim of the project was to adopt one of the most successful telework best practices in Hungary and Slovakia through the cooperation of the two settlements, with innovative methods and wide partnership implementation. The employees in the vicinity showed a major interest in using the new forms of employment. During the project, an old building was reconstructed as a telework house in the village of Svodín.
