Need for the project As regional labor market merged into European one, the requirements to modern school changed as well. A school is obliged to provide not only qualitative education, but to develop the necessary competence to become European citizen willing and being able to communicate and work on the international level. In order to fulfill this purpose it is necessary to improve teachers' intercultural and project management skills. Ability to act in intercultural environment is one of the most important intersubject competence and an essential component of European school. This competence will be acquired during the seminar of intercultural project management in Portugal. It is important for our teachers to have an opportunity to participate in the project together with colleagues from other countries. As a result intercultural development and communication will proceed not only during the seminars but also through all the time spent in Portugal. At the same time our teachers will get possibility to affiliate new intercultural relationships, to meet potential partners for the future projects, to plan and perform inter-cultural projects among schools such as E-Twining or Job-Shadowing. Purposes of the project: To develop our teachers' intercultural and project management competence. 3 teachers involved in project have to: * be prepared to improve their intercultural and project management skills abroad; * know foreign language very well (German or English); * be ready to propagate the European idea among colleagues and students; * be open and eager to integrate the development of intercultural skills and activities into the educational process. The plan of tools: To participate in the seminars of inter-cultural management projects. Methodology of project performance: Intercultural competence will be implemented in the lessons because of qualification development seminars. Moreover, European projects will be managed when teachers get project management competence. Planned results, effect and long term benefit: An experience gained in seminars will be a very good motivation for teaching based on students' intercultural competences development and international cooperation. It will also be an effective foundation to perform European projects at school. Seminars will enable teachers to encourage students and colleagues to participate in European projects. They will use project practice as a tool to develop students‘ intercultural, linguistic and social competence. Students who develop these competences will become more flexible and ready to work in the European and international labor market.
