Training course will bring together 30 young people interested in issues of ecological justice and having potential to further promote and raise awareness of these issues in their own context. Aim of project is to enhance understanding of the complexity of ecological justice among young Europeans by exposing links between social inequality and environmental degradation, ecological and socio-economic issues, and to increase ecological responsibility in European civil society through active contribution of young people. By using EYCE's experience in non-formal education, project will equip participants with knowledge on various situations of ecological injustice in different contexts, facilitate developing ideas for contribution of young people to promote ecological justice and a fairer distribution of wealth, land and natural resources. In addition, project will foster intercultural awareness among young people in Europe by providing a platform for intercultural exchange of experiences and good practices among the participants. Apart form theoretical basis, training course will offer the participants practical methods and tools to address the issues of ecological justice and implement concrete projects in their own context. Variety of interactive and practical methods, e.g. group discussions, creative presentations, analysis of economic mechanisms of distribution of wealth, natural resources and land, as well as role plays and practical methodology workshops will be used throughout training course. Participants coming from various parts of Europe will bring variety of perspectives and approaches into training course, which will increase sense of contribution to one European society and solidarity with other young people globally. Training course will take place from 24th June-1st July 2012, in Minsk region, Belarus. EYCE will be one of the sending organisations for this training course, whereas its Belorussian partner, IMKA will host the training course.
