The project "Take your chance for better life in the European union" is created in partnership of Business Academy in Žilina with ADC College in London and is focused mainly on obtaining practical working skills of our students abroad and using their English language skills in practice. The main objective of this project is to enable students of our school to get working experience abroad by experiencing practical tasks at work, adapting to new social and working surroundings, motivating them to work hard, be flexible and active in communication in a foreign language. Specific objectives of this projects are to improve communication, social and digital competences of students, to extend working abilities of the students abroad, to enrich formal and informal education by practicing abroad, to learn history, geography, culture, art and life style of British people, to experience multiculturalism and mutual tolerance among EU citizens, to certify the competences of students attained through ECVET tool. 15 students of the Business Academy in Žilina at the age of 17 and 18 will participate in this mobility project. The project itself will be running for 12 months (from July 2016 to June 2017). It consists of the preparation of the project activities, realization of the project tasks by practicing working skills abroad and the final phase is connected mainly with propagation and dissemination of the project´s outcomes. The mobility itself will take place in May 2017. Students will be chosen according to their language and practical skills. The chosen students will prepare their CVs and other necessary forms and documents. During the preparing course they will get all practical information about working abroad which they can use when practicing in administrative departments of companies as administrative assistants, sales assistants or receptionists. The students can use their school knowledge and skills in practical situations (communication in English language, use of ICT, business correspondence, telephoning, mailing or personal meetings, data processing etc.). Knowledge of English language (CEFR B1) is required from the participants of this project. Practical experience at British job market will help to develop student´s personality and increase their motivation to study English language and improve their skills in the field of economy. Spending two weeks in British families will give them a chance to get to know the culture, history, traditions and life style of British people. The students will be accompanied by a Slovak teacher of English language who will be responsible for all the project activities like choosing students, organizing language course, planning and preparing the whole journey to Great Britain – transport, insurance, accommodation, etc. During the stay in Britain she will be responsible for monitoring the whole program, communication with ADC College and companies where the students will be placed.Expected outcomes of this project are improving specific language skills of students, obtaining new working experience within the European Union and practising theoretical knowledge of economy in practice. Participants will receive the „Europass – Mobility“, „Certificate ECVET“ and the certificate from ADC College in London. Completing the job experience programme in Great Britain will increase the chance of all the participants to find a good job at the European job market.
