The Erasmus+ Training course ''Take the stage'' aims to foreground and emphasize on the need for more competent young leaders and facilitators in civil society who will be willing and able to organize and monitor educational activities for youth based on the values of the European Union and the Council of Europe. The need that this training course aims to address is becoming more and more present on a European level, and the course will be implemented through the use of non-formal approach that has proven outmost flexibility beyond the borders of social classes, gender, nationalities and mentalities. The project will take place in Limassol in Cyprus on the 21st until 30th of October 2015 and it will involve 25 participants, including training team, coming from 7 Programme countries: Cyprus, Croatia, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Hungary and Portugal. The international 9-day-lasting training course “Take the stage!” primarily wishes to make facilitators, trainers and activity leaders in international youth work and in Erasmus + projects able to design, facilitate, debrief and reflect on non-formal learning processes and group dynamics of high impact. The Training Course is designed to offer different techniques of experiential learning together with presentations, discussions and exchange of experiences and it will use several approaches that primarily focus on and involve the participants. Having this in mind, this Training Course aims at giving the participants the opportunity to explore and understand the idea and concept behind non-formal learning, and thus to become competent enough to design, facilitate and debrief existing and novel non-formal learning sessions and opportunities. Furthermore, in order to ensure sustainability, this TC seeks to provide the participants with a coached and structured opportunity to elaborate a professional and personal development plan based on competencies and values. Objectives of the project: • To promote the use and exercise new tools and competences in non-formal education (including the competence to invent/design and facilitate novel sessions and tools based on the needs of a given target group), • to enable participants to explore and actually understand the concept and factors behind non-formal learning • to train participants how to design, facilitate and debrief existing and novel non-formal learning sessions and opportunities • to provide the participants with a coached and structured opportunity to elaborate a professional and personal development plan based on competences and values • to increase the number of qualified Erasmus+ facilitators and trainers • to develop skills and competences of participants and through that to increase the qualified members of the NGO's
