Tagewerk 15 & 16
Start date: Jan 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Project “Tagewerk 15 and 16” aimed to enlarge, in a culturally sensitive way, the professional knowledge and skills of 40 SME apprentices in the field of horticulture with specialisations in “gardening and landscaping” as well as “ornamental plant production” (ISCED Level 3B: Upper secondary education). The work with natural stones has become gradually more popular in the horticulture sector and the need for professionals in this field of specialisation is hence increasing in SME-Companies. The project enlarged the knowledge and skills of apprentices in this special field of working with naturals stones and ornamental plants. The Project was based on the actual vocational training plan for the apprentices in the field of horticulture with specialisation in “gardening and landscaping” and “ornamental plant production”. The facilitation, enlargement and consolidation of knowledge and skills of working with natural stones and ornamental plants was the aim of the project. The contents of the for the apprentices optional external training course “Working with Natural Stones and Ornamental Plants” was completely taught and trained. This one-week training course usually takes place in Germany. The project ensured the Erasmus+ priority “… that skills and qualifications can be easily recognised across the borders” because the result of the two-week long learning experience in Greece was additionally recognized and certified by the Chamber of Agriculture of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. In addition, the newly acquired professional skills and knowledges of this abroad learning and training stay were certified through the Europass Mobility for all participants. These included additional social abilities and competences like constructive communication in different environments and societies, the willingness of collaboration and integration, respect for people of different cultural backgrounds and ages, contact and cooperation with people with different cultural and religious roots and with different faiths and beliefs. This two-week abroad learning and training course has had sustainable impacts to the personal and professional competencies and has increased the participants personal, vocational and social mobility in Germany and in the EU. It was realized in 2 flows with 20 participants each from 07.10.- 21.10.2015 and 24.09.- 08.10.2016.
