Taekwondo - One World. Next Stage

In the project Taekwondo -One World Next Stage participate 50 young people from 13 to 18 years old and 10 leaders from Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia Bulgaria and Luxembourg. This is next stage of international youth exchange held by Taekwondo Academy Tornado where is involved youth from five countries. The main objectives of the exchange is to increase the autonomy of young people, collaboration skills and responsibility, learning from their own experience at a specific environment, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle through sports and physical activity. Project is based on non formal education and learning process from each other, which will ensure the needs of the participants. Participants will be young people interested in taekwondo or who never tried it but would like to understand the world through taekwondo principles. In youth exchange young people will create and issue the movie about first taekwondo complex called "Tegeuki Il Jang" (Korean) that will be useful for beginners and advanced ones as well. During the activities of the project youngsters will establish and expand personal and inter-institutional contacts, improve foreign language skills, understand Taekwondo philosophy and principles. This is an unique opportunity to introduce young people to communicate, share your best practices, because the methodology and methods of teaching mentality, different countries may be different. The Exchange will take place in the round tables, debates and lectures about human physiology and specific coaching techniques, youth employment, tolerance, healthy lifestyle, nutrition also cultural themes, where each party to introduce young people from other countries with their own country. Youth that participated in the youth exchange will apply directly to their life all the results and the gained knowledge of this project. The experiences of youth who have participated in youth exchange will be shared with their friends, with their community and in the schools. The project will be held in Lithuania, Senieji Trakai city from March 20 to April 4, 2015. Duration: 15 days. Excluding journey time.
