T.O.T “Transfer of Tools between Non-Formal and Formal”
Start date: May 2, 2015, End date: Apr 1, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

T.O.T “Transfer of Tools between Non-Formal and Formal” aimed to create a bridge, a connection between non-formal and formal education mainly and we all (host team, facilitators, trainers, participants/youth workers) did that using grassroots educational impactful activities; we started with a strong detailed preparation phase, during which we managed with the responsible of partners to selected the future participants and arrange their travel and preparations; during the 11 days of training we first equipped the 32 participants with facilitation skills and they prepared the designs for their demonstrative training sessions and then, in teams, they applied the designed non-formal activities in the prison for young people and minors, in front of 20 prisoners + the other team-participants of our group. The impact of the activities was impressive as day by day the prisoners were more and more interested in discovering themselves as team-workers, their communication abilities, their attitude for understanding and respecting the diversity among themselves, their skills for self development and social welfare oriented attitude. Our specific aims were also achieved in detailed as described in the repost, proven by the 32 participants daily reports from our TOT facebook group where they appreciate each day according to its learning points and future potential opportunities provider. Our envisaged Network of Youth Trainers for Schools using European Citizenship topic (including HRs, intercultural learning, democratic values) , was functional after the project ended as most of the participants are still working in the social – educational domain, sending us pictures and messages from other implemented activities of theirs all over Europe. It is to our 7 partners greatest satisfaction and motivational feeding source to observe the impact of the TOT after all the pasted time and to see that the new compentences accomplished during the project were multiplied and the knowledge+results valorized. The TOT results: “Network’s 7 sessions designs”, “T.O.T.curricula” based on innovative methodology: graphic facilitation, storytelling, social media tools, mind mapping, while the entire planned program is strongly community orientated , together with the “Guide of Methods on European Citizenship for Schools – GuideME” containing a collection of human rights, active participation, intercultural dialogue and diversity, peace and violence, culture and citizenship methods and activities were accomplished with the help of our partners and youth workers from the created Network and provided on electronic version to each of the beneficiary, also disseminated in schools, youth centres, prisons , European and national levels, being useful of people engaged in non-formal educational programs. The implementation of this project was a success according to the organizational , management and learning achievements, from the evaluation of the activities, implementation phases, communication with the partners and local stakeholders, according to the follow-up and dissemination activities, not easy to achieve and future plans which are already coming true. Our motivation is high and we , as association and partner in European projects, feel more strong and competent to contribute to the social changes/improving in our local communities as well as on European level.
