Infromation about the project. "The English language and methodological training for teachers of English" is a Zespół Szkół Społecznych nr 7 (the combined Primary School and Junior High School) project. The aim of the project. The aim of the project is to strengthen the English language command of the teachers, to update their knowledge of teaching methods, to start cooperation with other teachers and pupils from the EU countries. The number and the profile of the participants. Two teachers of the English language participated in the project. These teachers have been working for 25 and 15 years respectively and they teach pupils/students at various educational stages (lower primary, upper primary, junior high school). The description of the goals achieved. Each of the teachers in question participated in a two-week language-methodology training in Great Britain: "Creative Teaching in the Primary Classroom" at the Lake School of English in Oxford and "Life in Britain - Bringing Culture into The Classroom" at International House in London. The teachers finished the trainings what was confirmed with the appropriate certificates. The trainings were chosen as most suitable for the needs of the given pupils'/students' age groups of the given teacher and also fitted for the needs of the whole Zespół Szkół Społecznych nr 7 (the combined Primary School and Junior High School). The schools in Great Britain were chosen which are of high international esteem within the scope of organising methodological and language trainings. The results, the influence and long-term benefits of the project. The teachers improved their command of the English language, achieved new practical skills from the area of teaching methodology and the work with pupils, renewed their knowledge on culture, history and every day life of Great Britain, refined their skills of learnign and creating their own teaching materials. The project contributed to the improvement of the teachers' social competences through networking with other teachers - participants of the training. The next result of the project concerns the development of initiative and entrepreneurship, the professional development of the faculty. The project is the source of many inspirations also for other teachers from our school, the resource of methodological ideas concerning more effective way of classroom work. The participation in the project created also the possibility of improving the level of competence as far as ICT skills and the usage of computer science tools are concerned. The project work has contributed to making the educational offer of our school more attractive and to boosting the competitive advantage of our school in the local community. The participation in the mobility can influence the number and the quality of mobility of other employees of our school .
