Sześciolatek na start!
Start date: Dec 31, 2014, End date: Dec 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Ten people took part in the project- the headmaster and the teachers that work in the school. The aim of the project was to raise the quality of education and the process of bringing up children through the improvement of the teachers’ skills and qualifications. This was mainly done due to the recent educational system changes that lowered the age of compulsory education in Poland. The teachers mentioned were willing to get familiar with the modern and innovative teaching methods and to implement them into their school work. This was a new challenge for our school because until then, the six year old pupils had functioned as preschool children. Within the project, the participants went to England and the key aspect of this visit was the provision of ongoing education and training as far as the teaching of very young learners is concerned. They also visited British schools where they had an opportunity to observe the lessons and familiarize with the didactic tools. Apart from that, the participants of the project were able to exchange crucial information and experience with British educational staff. Our school, in a proper time before the visit in England, involved the teachers into the cultural and linguistic training. After the arrival in Poland, the teachers implemented the achieved knowledge about different methods during their lessons with the young children, they also shared it with other teachers, pupils and their parents. The school itself diffused the information about the project and shared the experiences with other schools. The accomplishment of the project surely contributed to the increase of the effectiveness of education in our school, its competitiveness as well as the improvement of European standards of work. The participants of the project intensified the knowledge about the methodology, they opened up themselves to the modern methods of school work with the pupils and they developed their social and organization skills. Their cultural and linguistic competence also improved. As a result, the project served as a perfect preparation for the international cooperation and the progress towards European mobility. It created the further perspectives for the teachers’ development and improvement of their competence.
