Therefore, in 2003 in our school was established first integrated class, and in the school year 2008/2009 thanks to success in this field, renamed the school - Primary School No. 7 with Integrated Classes in Elk. Teachers in our school are professionals: speech therapist, educator, surdopedagog and therapists, educational and sensory integration therapist. We cooperate with various educational institutions, belong to the Polish National Club of Integreted Schools, and every year participates in the National Integration Forum. This project is the result of analysis of our school’s needs. We think that our school needs development especially in the area of work with children with special educational needs. Teachers want to increase their teaching competence, find new methods and tools to work with SEN children as well as all class. Teachers of our school continually develop their competence in working with students with special educational needs, in terms of communication (including in foreign languages), ICT (for use in international projects, to work in the classroom with the entire class, and class individual students). In addition, we wish to gain the experience of our partners in relation to better cooperation with parents of SEN students. We want to get know with methods of counseling and help for parents of children with disabilities. The project will involve highly qualified teachers - special education teachers with a master's degree , more than one specialty and extensive experience working with children with SEN. All participants were involved in many qualifying forms of trainings, workshops, conferences, etcProject involved 15 teachers who were chosen according to the criteria directly related to the theme of the project. These teachers understand that the planned job shadowing mobilities will benefit not to themselves, but to whole school - in the first place pupils and the entire teaching staff of our school. They will observe the work of schools from five countries: Italy, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Spain and Germany during two years.Teachers from our school will observe lessons, during which our school’s partners will present a variety of methods and techniques used in education, especially working with students with special educational needs. Moreover, the project involves meetings with the management staff of visited schools. Visited schools have a great experience in working with students with special educational needs. These institutions conducted many international educational projects and their teachers systematically develop their workshop. Each of our partners specialize in the topic of our project in a different way. Thanks to that we have chance for comprehensive development in working with students with special educational needs. The possibility of a two-year project work, job shadowing, will let us exchange experiences, strengthen the socio-cultural ties between the participants. Another expected accomplishment is to establish between partners a long-term and effective cooperation. Our school is in constant contact with partner schools. We exchange necessary information and documents on the eTwinning platform. In this way we will also exchange ideas on the project, present materials collected during mobilities, share proposals for further work, as well as the effects of new methods and forms of work.Participants of the job shadowing during they mobilities will be conducting self-reflection journals, they will be obligated to get scripts of hosted lessons, be in touch with our school. Will be developed evaluation tools to monitor the course of the project. We will make every effort to spread the information about our project in the local media, partner schools, various educational institutions and during Polish national meetings. By participating in the project and the process of collecting, analyzing and evaluating information, we believe that all the planned project activity will affect the final result. We look forward to increasing the professionalism of the project team, as well as the entire teaching staff of our school.
