Summary of The projectThe applying institute: In our institute, agricultural and economical- servicing education takes place both in secondary and adult education system. Most of the students are socially disadvantaged, so our most important aims are giving chance and ensuring quality of education including maintaining contacts with direct partners. There are three hundred and fifty students approximately in our school every year. Our faculties are the following: provincial catering, gardening, ornamental gardening and farming (two or three-year vocational education and basic education). Receiving partner: Our partners residence is San Zaccharia, in the province of Ravenna, Emilia Romagna region, North Italy. The firm (Azienda Agricola Palazzo Manzoni), specialized in provincial catering, has international experience; it is also the training place of one of the local technical schools. There are hotel rooms in the central building with a well-equipped kitchen and a restaurant. Agricultural production is done in the territory of nearly 30 acres. It is a family enterprise under strict official control. They have good contacts with the state and local government officials. The owner is a well-educated person, both professionally and pedagogically, who can speak more languages and has good communication skills. He employs foreign workers as well.Participants: students learning in faculty of catering provincial and farming catering.The aim of the project is to complete and develop the students vocational knowledge and skills. We succeeded in reaching this aim in the previous years, so we hope we can also fulfil these requirements as well with other candidates. We would like to increase the rate of students participating in the project who have hard family background in order to give them better prospects for the future. Most of the students live in very poor financial circumstances, this project is their only chance to visit another country, get vocational experience and use the language they learn. Our partner, the provincial touristic center in Italy /A. A. P. M./, has excellent vocational, social and personal background, so we can rely on them realizing our needs. We would like our students to get experience in servicing, kitchen work as well in agricultural proceedures. This project might help them get into the labour market in the near future. Aims for the future: -developing the students social and communication skills, getting knowledge about a different culture. Needs: as we have already visited the training place in the previus years, we know it well. This project is primarily based on provincial catering and gives opportunities to our students to practise what they have learnt so far. Lake Velence, as holiday resort of high priority in our country, might get workforce by the assistance of this project.
