The goal of the project is to implement the production school´s complex training program for the socially disadvantaged young population of the County of Zala and to create equal opportunities for integration into society for young people with no vocation or employment. The curriculum included vocational training, practical work and mental preparations for the labor market; it also provided trained workers for skill shortages on both sides of the border. Trainees in programs for skill shortages were introduced to the vocation´s standards on both sides of the border, and are therefor qualified to work in both countries. This significantly improved the efficiency of capacity use, and increased the competitiveness of companies in the region. Achievements: After a month-long research and selection phase, 12 trainees joined the training programs for bricklayers and fastfood vendors. The training was complemented by mandatory practical work for vendors at the fast-food restaurant at the Lendava Thermal Spa-Hotel Lipa*** in Slovenia, and for bricklayers at SGP Pomgrad in Murska Sobota. After 11 months of a complex training program, 11 trainees qualified for the vocation of bricklayers, and 12 trainees for fast-food vendors; after 3 months of additional training, 21 qualified trainees (91.3 %) found employment
