The project entitled "The awareness of similarities and differences in vocational competences in Poland and abroad as a chance for the success in professional career" deals with organising student traineeships abroad for vocational schools. The project initiated by ZSP4 in Krosno, will enable students to take part in 4 week traineeships in companies in Ireland. The participants of the project are 32 students of secondary vocational school and 2 teachers. The range of jobs that students will represent comprises: logistics, geology and gas technician. Therefore the institutions providing student traineeships will be the companies specializing in these fields. The aim of this type of project is to maintain the balance between the theoretical knowledge and skills what will reinforce the coordination between the worlds of education and job career.The project consists of the following stages:• Preparing the participants of the project before undergoing traineeship abroad in the fields of the language, culture awareness - language and culture courses, meetings concerning the rules of participation in the project • Activities during the mobility – traineeships, optional trips during the stay abroad, regular meetings of teachers and students taking part in the project• Obtaining certificates confirming both the skills and qualifications what will enable their recognition and legitimacy in European countriesThe goals::• The major goal is to identify the differences and similarities in job competences between Poland and other European countries to increase the quality of vocational education – identifying the differences will enable graduates to verify and complete their skills and this way to increase the chances for employment both in the international and Polish job markets.• Increasing the quality and the meaning of vocational education through mastering the skills of students• Intensifying the synergy effects of formal and informal education, employment and entrepreneurship.• Increasing the level of key competences and skills in terms of their adequacy on the job market as well as the correlation between educational and job environments,• Significant increase of foreign languages competence what plays the key role among skills preparing students for the job market and allowing citizens to take advantage of career opportunities • Increasing project participants’ self-esteem and reinforcing their confidence in terms of their usefulness in social and economical fields • Project activities will play an important role in providing young people with the means required in active social life as well as the increase of personal competence by developing creativity, mobility and comprehensive personal and cultural development of project participants,• Raising the level of cultural awareness in terms of being perceived as an European Citizen• Acquiring the Europass Mobility – a document which will formally confirm the qualifications of the project recipients• Increasing the attractiveness and international recognition of the school• Introducing innovations, making the process of education more attractive for young people• The reinforcement of international cooperation among the institutions involved in the projectDuring the project activities the following methods will be used:• Active participation of all people engaged, group meetings, mutual teaching and learning• Acquiring skills through experience• Creative activities (traineeship registers, reports)• Modern technologies supporting the process ( school website, multimedia presentations, films, photos)• Self-reflectionExpected project results:• Increasing organizational, social and language skills• Developing adaptability, awareness of the Irish market specifics, getting ready for the job career in multicultural society on European markets • Acquiring vocational skills proved by certificates• Increasing competitiveness of school graduates on the local and domestic markets• Expected long-term influence on the quality of vocational education in the schoolThe cooperation between the school and the Irish companies will contribute to long-term benefits for the school and students as well as the local society.The expected benefits will affect mainly the following areas:• Recognition and greater prestige of the school not only on the local but also on the domestic and European markets what , through widespreading the results, will sustain and justify European added value of Erasmus +• Making the net of international contacts• Level playing field• Gaining job experience, contacts with foreign cultures and people, dynamic mobility and unforgotten life experiences• Opportunity to start a career path and to be recognised by potential employers• Obtaining the document Europass Mobility as a tool of transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications in Europe• The access of local society to the materials, results of the project
