Sustainable Food Communities (SFC)

Many communities wish to support local food, believing that it carries a low environmental impact. However, we have little evidence to prove or disprove this. Investivating the issue, a partnership between Brittany (France) and Devon and Cornwall (England) will examine sustainable food and farming and food supply chains in the two cities of Plymouth and Rennes. Researching challenges and best practice in these Franco-British short supply chains, the project will increase understanding of local supply chains in practice, while promoting awareness of food low environmental impact and strengthening local partnerships.
