SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AS LIFESTYLE

Sustainable development as lifestyle is a training course which will take place in Iasi, Romania on 13rd -22nd of September 2009. The participant countries are Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Turkey and it will gather in Iasi 21 participants. The main theme of the project is sustainable development.The objectives of the project are: Participants awarness of the importance of living in a sustainable manner, important element of personal development, as a step to achieve sustainable development; participants adoption of the basic knowledge necessary to elaborate and implement an awarness campaign on sustainable development; raising the participants awarness regarding the importance of participation and active involvement, as citizens of a common European community; participants acquiring of general knowledge about waste selective collection as major problem in achieving the sustainable developments; achieving an intercultural exchange of good practices among the project promoters. The project includes an overview of sustainable development concept, awarness camapaign issues, overview of waste management at European and local levels in the modern society and especially of waste selective collection, visit to the waste disposal, workshop on personal development - sustainable lifestyle. At the training are used methods of non formal education such as teambuilding games, free discussions, debate, practical activities, TV broadcast simulation, workshops, brainstorming, quiz and others.
