Students' perspective on European Politics and LGBT rights

Six organizations from the three countries will jointly implement a project aimed at providing information on how EU policy is working with Gay Bi Trans issues and encourage young people to participate in the LGBT debate. The main aim of the project is to strengthen young people and engage them to work for an open and inclusive society. Those six organizations who participate are: Sweden United Gaystudenter (umbrella organization for LGBT students), Foreign Policy Association in Sweden (working on policy issues at nine universities in Sweden)Romania: Accepted (the first organization to stand up for LGBT issue in the country), Grado (an organization that works with human rights) Poland: Campaign Against homophobia (working with LGBT and member of its student organization), the Association of Independent Initiatives Mikuszewo (a youth organization working on amongst other things, discrimination and inclusion). The main activities are taking place during the Pride Festival in each above mentioned countries . The idea is to increase awareness among participating stakeholders about the European LGBT politics, but also to bring public opinion in society. The project will culminate in a major seminar in Sweden and the outcome of the project will be distributed to all LGBT organizations in Europe.
