The Mariachool for primary education ( 4-12 year olds ) is a school with seven groups , with about 180 students in total. In all groups, English is given in part by a native speaker . Most teachers ( 6 ) follow the ETTP course in the school year 2013-2014 . Some ( 2 ) have this FCE certificate already achieved in the academic year 2012-2013. The participating teachers are the English coordinator in charge of putting together the plan for the coming years and class teachers who are training to successfully implement teaching English in their class.. The coordinator oversees the curriculum , the framework , and the assurance of this. In the Language Policy ( Ambition 2013/2015 ) the objectives, plan, long and short term , and necessary resources and support in finance and personnel are documented. By participating in the course, "staff training abroad or training teachers" these objectives can be better achieved . The continuity and expansion of bilingual education will be phased in at the Mariaschool and this can partly be guaranteed by the proper knowledge of the coordinator . The goal is to offer 15 % of class time in English. This can be realised by, among other things, the promotion of bilingual development and bringing forward the starting age at which children will take part in English activities. In this way students will be better prepared when they start Secondary education .
