The project “Streets Up for Diversity" is a short term EVS project that links between social inclusion of marginalized youth, self initiative and youth work in order to provide equal opportunities to local young people living in areas near Kumanovo. The partner organizations and volunteers together aim to explore working with youth from marginalized groups with an accent on Roma. The promoters will focus more specifically on the following aspects:• To engage local youth marginalized youth in a diverse range of activities, such as creative and artistic workshops to enhance their inclusion in the community.• To provide space for linking of the researching the inclusion of marginalized groups in the activities that are offered to young people in schools but also in youth centers.• To improve the local intercultural dialogue and share best practices between the partner organizations.The short term EVS project will offer vacancy for: 10 volunteers coming from 5 different countries (Germany, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Italy and Turkey) for 1 month (June 2013) in Kumanovo the largest interethnic and inter-religious town In Macedonia. The volunteers will have the chance to work on their personal and professional improvement, developing their communication, entrepreneurship and initiative skills.
