Street of Kutaisi was project aimed on the troubled youngsters in Kutaisi, Georgia, who often spare their time in streets, often go to casinos and gambling clubs, using alcohol or some drugs. Usually teenagers 14-19 years old, in Georgia called as "Birzha Boys"-Active part of the project Streets of Kutaisi was realised during 1.3.2014-15.2.2015 between the Czech sending NGO NESEHNUTÍ, Georgian hosting NGO RICDOG and Czech volunteer Magda Kuchtová. Magda Kuchtová actively cooperated with 5 another volunteers acoring to birzha project, but during her stay she was in active contact with more than 30 youngsters, with whom she had organised different activities.During the mentioned time the following activities were relised (in time order):1)recruitment of 5 volunteers, who cooperated with EVS volunteers2) research about Birzha problem in GE/Kutaisi - table, field research3) preparation, spreading and processing of questionared focused on Birzha in Kutaisi4) free Art therapy courses for adolescents (10 weeks)5) 2 econoligical workshops for adolescents and university students6) regular monitoring of street in Kutaisi with high posibility of Birzha mingling (6 moths)7) creation of onoline map, pointing the places in Kutaisi with high apperence of birzha8) free Art is Fun courses for children and adolescents (20weeks)9) public presentation of research datas10) final report11) administrative/design support for RICDOG (all months)Project has proven that the Birha is real problem, whihc needs to be solved nad work with. According the traditions, cultural differences, and dangerousness of the Birzha only the observationb was realised. Huge part of the project was didecated to work with endangered children and adolescents to prevent them becoming birzha. Project created serious base for Georgian specialist about the Birzha problem in Kutaisi to work with.
