Stimulation of entrepreneurship in the Food and Drink sector of the BG-TR cross border area

The project is implemented in close cooperation between the partners. Firstly a Joint Information and Coordination Centre is being established. Two kick of seminars are organised for raising the public awareness and to attract the attention of SMEs at the beginning of the project. Before the launch of seminars special information materials are disseminated and an awareness campaign is executed. Additionally, these materials are disseminated during the seminars when all SMEs are acquainted about the projects objectives, activities and expected results. A consultant is also assigned in order to elaborate two studies under the project and to prepare the Guidelines for SMEs in line with the Bulgarian and EUs regulations, with the close coordination with the Partners. The workshop for SMEs from the regions is organized and two final seminars took place for presenting the results of the project and disseminating the elaborated strategic and information materials. Achievements: Five joint events have been organized in the target area – two seminars in Burgas, two seminars in Kirklareli and one workshop in Burgas.Two studies - Socio Economic Analysis and Study Market Opportunities have been created. Guidelines for SME-s and 3000 promotional materials are published (brochures, notebooks, folders).Website www.profood-project.com with information on the project objectives, activities, results in Bulgarian and English languages is created. The main materials / documents developed under the project (Guidelines SME-s, Socio Economic Analysis and Study Market opportunities) are available for free download. The project has been successfully accomplished in March 2012.
