Stepping Stones: Inclusion in Vocational Training for People with Learning Disabilities

The Stepping Stones project will develop and introduce a specialist multi-media software package to allow those with moderate or severe learning difficulties (and the agencies that work with them) to further explore opportunities for vocational training and employment.The package will comprise a training and employment explorer 'game', a vocational profile builder, a database of good practice in vocational training & employment (for use by professionals) and a series of web-links for use by both individual learners and professional bodies.The software will be produced in all partner languages (EN, ES, FI, HU & CZ) in CD-Rom format and will link directly to a specially developed website where updated resources and links will be held. Beyond development, the product is to be commercially launched across the partnership with a potential audience of over 5000 people with learning difficulties during the lifetime of the project.The target group themselves are to be involved in the development and piloting of the software, across all partner countries, this to ensure that final project output is reflective of current needs from the user group and from the professionals who work with them.
