Step by Step in EVS
Start date: May 5, 2015,
End date: Sep 4, 2016
The project titled “Step by Step in EVS” will include participation of 2 Polish volunteers for a period of nine months. The project will take place in the city of Ozurgeti, in Guria region, in Georgia. The project aims at assistance of the volunteer in promoting and multiplying information about the opportunities for youth, in order to stimulate European awareness and establish bridges for communication between volunteers' home country and the place where they will be accommodated, and where the volunteers will participate voluntarily in an active citizenship and an informal intercultural education experience.
The aforementioned project will provide the opportunity for the volunteers and the organisations to build new projects in the future. Apart from that, the volunteers, together with their Hosting organisation will promote an active citizenship, European citizenship in particular, and the Erasmus+ program among Georgian youth with fewer opportunities. In order to be able to walk in the shoes of the local youth with lesser opportunities and better understand their issues that hamper their participation in youth activities, the project will give priority to include in the project the Polish volunteers who have been whether unemployed for some time or have been searching for an EVS placement for a long time.
All parts involved in the project will be asked to encourage the volunteers to actively relay the gained knowledge and experiences within their voluntary service and inspire their peers to be active members of their societies in in the hosting country as well as back in Poland.
