Stem-Net; New pedagogical methods and sharing experiences

In Finland the new 2016 curriculum is introdused in the autumn term 2016. This new innovative curriculum has many competence challenges for teachers. The teachers in-service training and good practices are needed. One of these challenges is the teaching and implementation of STEM subject teaching. The Konnevesi school is starting a voyage of discovery around Europe tpo find out the best practices of STEM teaching.The objectives of the STEM NET -project are to find new ways and methods for STEM teaching and create good collaboration with teachers around Europe. The participants of this project are teachers of the Konnevesi school. They create three training teams of three teachers which will participate three different training seminars in Sweden, Germany and Spain.After the training they will present a report to the whole staff of the school and also explane how they will implement the new competences, lesson plans etc. in their daily work.On the other hand each participant will connect with at least one teacher from Europe and stat collaboration with him/her. The work is done with the classes and the pupils/students work will be shared in the projects working areas on the eTwinning platform.All these experiences, good practices and methods will be shared on projects web pages and in the social media channels. On of the main aims is to establish long term cooperation between European schools, teachers and pupils/students.
