Staże zagraniczne - teoria w praktyce
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project entitled “Foreign traineeships – theory in practice” will begin on 1st January 2016 and will last for 12 months. 20 students from the Skala Complex of Schools who specialize to be IT technicians and logistics technicians will take part in a one-month traineeship in German companies accompanied by two teachers. It is scheduled for 4th September 2016 to 1st November 2016. The participants will be granted with accommodation, full board, uniforms, pocket money, cultural programme and the journey. Before the mobility the students will take part in several language, cultural and pedagogical preparation classes. Skala is a small town and it is not easy there to get the kind of qualifications that contemporary work markets require. That makes it difficult for young people there to find employment. Our project is an answer to this problem. Our main aim is to raise job qualifications of our students through the participation in traineeships in foreign companies. Such mobility is a chance to develop their language skills and learn professional vocabulary that is used internationally. We would also like our students to change their attitudes towards their future. Having a close contact with other cultures will increase their intercultural awareness, make them more tolerant towards other people, raise their self-esteem and make them more open. They will be not only well educated, but they will also learn about professional solutions and good practices used in foreign companies, which they will be able to use locally. The mobility will also help them to make conscious choices in their careers and education. Their skills will be certified by the Europass Mobility, ECVET and the Polish documents, which will surely make them more attractive for the potential employers. The project will influence the school itself, make it more recognizable internationally and will help to make new connections with new partners. We will learn how to cooperate closer with foreign organizations that deal with professional training. We are going to exchange experience with foreign partners so that we will be able to adjust our local syllabuses by introducing innovative tools. The mobilities will influence our reputation in the local society, especially among our future students. We are going to share the results of the project with any organizations and people responsible for professional training.
