Łowickie Centrum Kształcenia Ustawicznego(Continuing Education Centre) in Łowicz is the applicant for the Erasmus + Project together with the English partner - Tellus Group based in Plymouth.
The participants of the project will be a group of students being educated in the professions such as: massage therapists and pharmacy technicians. The duration of the the training / practice is designed for two weeks (10 day).
The improvement of the quality of education and the introduction of novelty into that sector by gaining new skills, linguistic and cultural competence are the main objectives behind the project. The project will let the students to achieve specific objectives, namely familiarizing them with the working standards in England as well as with the technological and quality standards. Familiarizing with working conditions, the professional equipment and the procedures in a workplace are the following specific objectives. The project participants will get professional training in national health service organisations and pharmasists. The expected effect of the project is the participants' acquisition of the practical knowledge and gaining professional experience. Those two effects are aimed to lead to the increase of the students' professional potential on the labour market and to improve their linguistic competence (mainly English professional vocabulary and its practical application). The place of exchange is Plymouth where our project partner is located. The place, owing to its excellent hardware and competent staff will allow the participants to benefit from the training and to achieve the objectives. The project carers / councellors will also provide the students with the accommodation and meals as well as adequate cultural programmes. The participation in the project is free of charge. The declaration of participation (after successful recruitment process) obliges the students to full implementation in the intended action. The placemants are designed for February 2016.
