The superior aim of the project was the development of students’ professional skills, their creativity, ingenuity and language competences. In the framework of the project 67 students from Center of Professional Education of Mikołaj Kopernik School Complex in Rawa Mazowiecka; School Complex of Wincenty Witos in Sucha Beskidzka and School Complex no. 3 in Pabianice participated in 2-week internship in Germany and Greece. Students from of all of the abovementioned schools educate in the professions of nutrition technician and hotel management technician. Students were participating in internships in the best Greek restaurants and hotels localized at the Thessalian Coast as well as in German hilly region of Waldmunchen at the border of Czechs and Bavaria. Trainings enabled students to develop their language and professional skills. Both – Thessalian and Bavarian regions are touristic destinations. Their role at economic map of Greece and Germany results in the vast range of gastronomic and touristic base. For the internship students went with their school mentors – 4 people, who were monitoring the groups during the whole undertaking. Vocational trainings took place in Greee in the following dates: 15-28.06.2015 (33 students) and 20.09-03.10.2015 (19 students) and in Germany: 30.07-12.08.2015 (15 students). The host institutions were Kokkino Nero Mobility Center placed in Larissa and IFN Internationales Privatinstitut fur Forschung und Netzwerkarbeit in Bildung , Beratung and Management in soziokulturelleb Bereichen GmbH placed in Zornedig. Both organizations are characterized by vast experience in European Union projects management and guaranteed high quality of vocational trainings. During the internship Polish students had an opportunity to get familiar with international standards of work, and restaurant functioning and service abroad. During the internship participants learned to design and organize the interior of consumer halls, serve the customers properly, prepare the basic dishes and drinks made of various products and use the computer software required for collecting the orders. The program of the internship was parallel with the interests of students, their willingness to work in different in terms of culture regions of Europe and the need of practical English language learning, which is essential in their future professional career. Customer service in foreign language is difficult and the students had a chance to experience it in practice. The Greek coast and touristic region of Bavaria full of foreigners from various destinations are the best places to learn foreign languages. The experience gained abroad constitutes a huge advantage for students at national labor market, in case of both – job seeking and establishing own business. Employees speaking fluently in a foreign language and characterized by experience in work in international restaurant are extremely needed at labor market. Certification of the skills gained was conducted via evaluation tools throughout the whole period of the internships. One of the most important forms of validation were internship notebooks. At the end of the trainings its mentors wrote opinions about students. The participation in vocational trainings was confirmed by the certificates of attendance, acquiring new skills and competences concerning professional and language skills and Europass – Mobility document, which constitutes a letter of recommendation for students.
