The participants of the project " Foreign Internship - alternative way of enhancing professional and personal mobile worker" will be 16 students of technical construction and 16 students of landscape architecture. Professional training will be held at the training center of the Department for Promotion of Vocational Training Building Industry Association of Berlin and Brandenburg in Frankfurt. Students during the internship, which will last two weeks will be staying in the care of two teachers: the teacher of German and the teacher of vocational subjects. The curriculum was developed using previous experience in the implementation of school mobility projects and in cooperation with local entrepreneurs and German partner. The project was developed in response to the need for our graduates to possess the vocational knowledge and skills, language and interpersonal skills to enable them to start their adult life. The objectives of the project are primarily the acquisition of professional skills, beyond the curriculum core of vocational education, comparison of methods for work organization and technology used in the host country, language skills improvement, personal and social competencies, and experience the culture and traditions of the host country of the beneficiaries of the project. Our students’ stay in the German vocational training center will enable them to learn about the vocational training system of our neighbours. There will also be an opportunity to familiarize with the process of preparing German youth to the future vocational career and to meet the requirements for graduates entering the German labour market, that is also available for the Poles. Participants will have the opportunity to compare the technologies used in Poland with the technologies used in accordance with the European standards and regulations in Germany (among others for the construction of small objects of landscape architecture in terms of technology and assembly of the drywall and the technology works of the wallpaper works). In addition, students will have contact with live foreign language, which will lead to break the language barrier and consequently lead to a rapid, compared with the effects of teaching in school, improvement of language skills. A two-week stay in Frankfurt will be a great opportunity for them to learn about the culture and customs of the German and other nationalities living in the same time at the resort, the development of religious and racial tolerance or make acquaintance and friendship that may benefit in the future. The project will be completed by receiving certificates for the participants of completion of linguistic and cultural and pedagogical preparation, confirming the trainee certificate issued by the German project partner, the Europass Mobility and Certificate of Individual Achievement Schedule issued by the Technical School, confirming the knowledge, skills and competence.
