“Internship in Spain as a new challenge for construction workers from Poland” project is the answer to a necessity to activate youngsters on an European labor market using their experience. The other aim is to achieve better grades at vocational and second language exams. The project participation will enable the students, who often come from poor areas with high unemployment rates, to access development mobility programs. This will also influence their rank on a local and European labor market. All this will be achievable by getting experience by the participants on construction sites. The project is designated for students from Zespół Szkół Nr 1 in Rzeszów who are being educated to be professional building and plumbing equipment technicians. The project that is planned for two years will include thirty-two students. Two groups of sixteen, aged sixteen to eighteen will be recruited. They will take part in a four weeks vocational practice in construction companies such as: Sando, Bauhaus and Reformas Regomero located in Spain. Our partner is a training organization, being a part of ETN Network, Tribeka situated in Malaga, Spain. The other aim of the project is to lower the rate of unemployment among people through the improvement of their individual abilities and skills that are significant when entering the labor market. This will be done during the project by upgrading their vocational abilities, which is the main priority. Enriching the educational process and building-up the proficiency of students from Zespół Szkół Nr 1 in Rzeszów, can be stated as the key aim of the project. Reaching this aim will surely make our students more attractive on a labor market. Furthermore, the cooperation among vocational education institutions will be yet another benefit together with unifying respected qualifications in Always Learning Programs. The last but not least project’s objective is leveling educational chances and preventing social exclusion through facilitating access to improve peoples’ language, modern construction and mobility skills. Participation in the project will help young people to gain new perspectives, vocational qualifications and a job. They will also improve their results of external exams. The participants will go through training of technical language to prevent the risk of accidents on sites. Those and other trainings will be continued in Spain. The students will also have a chance to get to know the culture and people from different countries. The participants will get familiar with procedures and techniques that are active on various positions, departments of the Spanish construction firms’ structures. The students who are soon to be professional builders will acquire knowledge about how to plan, organize and execute construction works when building the so-called passive houses. Plumbing equipment technicians will get to know how to connect pipelines, do plumbing and install air-conditioning systems. In order to achieve our targets we will evaluate the project based on ECVET system and it’s results will be available to institutions, both local and regional and also Erasmus+ promoting platform. All the courses that the participants will attend will be certified with The Europass Mobility Certificate, which is respected on the European labor market. This project will be a great way to promote of our school to new pupils and for our students on the labor market. Work experience will polish the quality of vocational education; it will also help the students adjust to the needs of regional and European labor market. The participants will also acquire the additional qualifications and skills; they will comprehend how to work in a multicultural environment using foreign languages. These will influence their tolerance and will teach them to be open to different points of view and also to eliminate stereotypes and prejudices. Taking part in the project will boost their competences and experience together with social, language and multicultural skills. The youngsters will develop their basic interdisciplinary abilities in business. Hopefully, their self-esteem, adaptation skills and the ability to work internationally will rise and thanks to that, they will gain international mobility. The new acquired skills will help prevent social exclusion and unemployment. They will also help them to find jobs on regional and European markets.
