5 teachers from our school will participate at an In Service Training Course: STAYON - Preventing school dropout at Clare Education Centre en Ennis, Irland. The participants will be 4 teachers representing our 4 vocational programs and one leader.
The aims are:
Preventing school dropout - strategies and systems to reduce young people’s non-completion of upper secondary vocational
education
To exchange experiences in how to get students to Stay On in education
To explore, develop and evaluate “best practice” from a number of European teachers, trainers, principals and policy
makers
To reduce early school leaving for students in groups at risk
To encourage closer cooperation between educators and local employers
