Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project „Builders in Spain“ can be considered as a successful one. According to aims the activity schedule was completed properly, the announced number of participants has been sent out abroad. We also have used the financial limits of the project appropriately. We redeemed all obligatory dates during the project and both stays respected the required principles of equality. There was no necessary change towards the planned parameters of the production to be executed during the project period and no urgent problem had to be solved. Undoubtedly, it all can be seen in an optimal choice of a partner organization and experience with international exchange stays by both sending and receiving organizations. The project reached high-quality-outputs which can be demonstrated by results of prior defined autoevaluation tools. The feedback from participants, i.e. from sent out pupils of the school seems to be nothing but positive only. The evaluation of the pupils, foreign language teachers and teachers of the professional training indicates positive improvements in all ways. We have sent out pupils of following vocational programmes abroad (Bricklayer, Plumber, Chimney-sweep, Painter, Tinman and Joiner). That wide variety of supported vocational fields mentioned above indicates the same opportunity of travelling to an international internship to all pupils of the school equally. In total, 20 pupils have been sent out (incl. 6 pupils with specific educational needs plus paralelly 6 pupils with limited opportunities) in two stays, every stay involved 10 pupils plus two accompanying adults. Every stay lasted for 17 days – the first one ran in October 2015, the second one in April 2016. The destination of both stays was Spain, the city of Granada. The partner organization became Europroyectos Leonardo da Vinci, S.L. The draft of the internship was in practical use of pupils in building reconstruction at a particular object (a typical representant of local architecture) under supervision of professional workers at the building company. As major labour activities were considered building foundations incl. subsoil preparations, carrying and non-carrying structures, setting of all types of windows and door-frames, applying plasters and installations of all sorts of building networks at the construction site. Building industry is such a creative technical branch and we also need to say that the entire building profession succumbs new trends and seasonal variations, international influences and also endurance by observance of technological procedures and norms given. It is necessary to follow international trends to be successful in that branch and to learn wherever it is possible. All of that was ensured exactly by our cooperating partner organization. The primary aim of the project became to allow the chosen pupils, incl. pupils with specific educational needs their professional development in practical skills abroad. Further, regarding their personal experience, independence and professional knowledge to make their self-confidence grow. And at last but not at least, to support their language competences. It was our intention to offer a professional internship abroad to those programmes which need to face the entire European globalization and a larger opening to the world regarding new trends and labour procedures. Those can be used by the supported pupils during their presence at the opened European labour market later on. Personality development of the pupils according to meeting of new culture and society represents another separate indicator which is an integral part of completing such an international internship. All specified aims of the project were accomplished completely. All the supported pupils indicate development in professional, language, personal and intercultural skills and alterations. Validation and basic information on internship process were ensured by supervision of professionals at the building company, Spanish tutors and by accompanying people on site, too. Then, after return of the pupils to ČR (meeting the school management, disseminating conference, presentation and participants´ evaluation, incl. presentation in media and on school website) proceeded. All that mentioned above was executed in real timing which made the project controlling, evaluation and its management easier. All of those implemented international internships and their participants were certified by Europass Mobility and by a Certificate of partner organization.
