High youth unemployment rates in the EU poses a threat to European society. Young people are a huge resource for the European society, but they have to create new jobs for themselves using innovative new visions and ideas to fight unemployment. It is no longer enough just to look at existing jobs and young people need to think creatively to fight unemployment. To help young people with this growing need, InterStep and its partnering organizations wish to create a Contact making Event "Start Up!" which brought together organisations who are promoting entrepreneurship among young people. The project took place in Slettestrand, between April 23rd and April 30th, 2015, and have participation of 45 organizational managers and youth leaders from 23 programme and partner countries. The event gave participants inspiration for promoting entrepreneurship amongst the youth in their local communities and a number of 11 concrete partnerships have been initiated.
