Stages de formation en entreprises pour des élèves de section européenne
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our vocational school whose students are in great majority students from disadvantaged backgrounds, has been offering the opportunity to integrate a European section (two hours of teaching of the additional language in the schedule one hour of Discipline non Linguistique Sales/ english) since 2005. The main objective of this section is to achieve mobility Terminal class for a five-week period in a company in the UK. Students (12 on average per section) therefore accomplish a training period that not only allows them to practice the skills taught at school but also mostly to acquire new skills (linguitic and professional) and to open up to another culture while developing maturity and autonomy. Two teachers accompany them in their preparation for the mobility itself. This also allows teachers to build relationships with economic partners from the UK and to have new experiences to improve their way of teaching. At the end of mobility, an evaluation is performed by the two teachers and is taken into account to pass the professional degree. In addition, a specific test allows the young student to take the exam with the "European mention", something which can be important on the CV for their future career. The success of this project has an impact on the image of our school and we therefore differentiate us very positively from others on a regional, national and European level. It is essential to be able to maintain our European section in the coming years as the success of our students who benefit from this mobility is the proof, if needed, that this window onto Europe is a huge advantage.
