It is our aim to improve our pupils' language and intercultural skills by using up-to-date methods in our foreign language classes. According to the new curricula in North-Rhine-Westfalia, there are new requirements for foreign language lessons.
Five teachers of English and Spanisch will be participating in professional development courses in England and in Spain. The main topic of these courses will be modern foreign language didactics.
The content of the courses, which the collegues will be attending, will be forwarded to the other foreign language collegues at our school so that we expect a positive influence on the teaching of languages and the intercultural aspect of teaching and learning modern foreign languages.
Apart from that, the participation in the courses should also give the teachers some new motivation to continue and intensify the organisation of school exchanges and international meetings.
