Start date: Jan 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The association of inclusive culture was founded with the purpose of carrying out humanitarian activities , education and promotion , and working to develop an inclusive culture , in this context, as well as concern for the exercise of the rights of children, adolescents and adults with special needs and children and adolescents with typical development. However, as our experiences have shown, the formal eduation is more successful if it includes the non-formal aspect. Having this in mind, we have been organising youth projects for more than a decade, this project being one of them. The project »Heart and soul of inclusion« comsists of two activities (a training course and a youth exchange), which coplement the whole. The training course is designed with the intent that teachers, trainers and youthworkers acquire additional knowledge and tools for working with young people with mild, moderate and severe mental disorder in the techniques and methods of non-formal and informal education. The training course will be based on non-formal education methods, such as group discussions, round tables, presentations, role plays and similar activities that promote creativity and active participation, but will also teach them using these methods so that they can use them in their institutions. The knowledge and experience acquired in the training course will be used in the months untill the youth exchange for preparations and the actual implementation of the youth exchange. In the youth exchange, all six groups (each from a different former yugoslavian republic) will present to the rest a variety of relaxation techniques. We are driven by the wish to achieve inclusion - providing the youngsters who have been pushed to the edge of social life, with the chance to create something of their own, giving them the message of their own worth and value.
