Our project "Sport is not only football." is a project based on the priorities ; tackling early school leaving,effective strategies for enhancing basic skills and contributing to the development of a European Area of Skills and Qualifications. Our previous successful experience about our students having absenteeism problems led us to such a project. The questionnaire applied in our school revealed that most of the students do not have sports among their free-time activities. And few students only stated that they only played football.The academic anxiety and the intense interest in virtual free time activities depart students from sport. Although the sport has multi-benefits including health,quality time spending, avoidanance of drugs,smoking and alcohol,socialising the students, when it is not done regularly the expected impact will not be effective enough. Our project aims to make schools more enjoyable places through sport. By making this we will try to form a portal where more students can find various sport facilities. The participation of the students in the activities we will make via the project will improve their self-confidence,sport habit,fair-play,morality and health quality. This will make the students feel relaxed and happy at school. A happy and relaxed student will be more optimist,and will,therefore, reflect this to his/her relations with his/her partners,friends and teachers. The project will apply two kinds of mobility; transnational meetings for only teachers and learning events involving the students and the teachers. There will be three transnational meetings. Four teachers from each country will participate in these mobilities. The teachers will be the project running teams. Teachers responsible for contact, budget control and time management, dissemination, and monitoring will take part in these mobilities. The maximum attandence of students under a sattisfying accompanying is crucial for us. The learning events will involve 7 students and three teachers from each country. The economically disadvantaged students will also take part in these events. We will care about the language skills of the students. Those students having a pre-intermediate level of English will be among our target group. They will improve their speaking skills and their willingness for learning and practising English. Apart from acquiring valuable language and cultural knowledge, students of participating schools will have a possibility to learn national sport disciplines, games and dances typical for participating countries. We believe, while students are nowadays surrounded by technological innovations, it is especially important to promote sport and healthy lifestyle. Our activities will include outdoor and indoor activities. The clubs we will found at our scholls will function actively to promote the students,the parents and the teachers to volunteer at the sport events. Our project activities will involve the families as well. Some activities like orienteering and softball will be very interesting for our students and the other participators. The traditional sports of the partner countries will also be taught and performed in schools. We will provide a set of different activities for our students including swimming,winter sports and sport fishing. Due to the wide range of sports,we will attract many students to the fields,courts and gyms. During the implementation,evaluation,monitoring,dissemination and sustainability parts of the project, the partners will follow each step of the project in a disciplined way. The budget book and the project diary will help us do the activities properly. Our ' Must do list " and "Participant Matrix" will be strong indicators to analise the implementation of the project. Our project will enhance healthy life conscious for the adults of future because they will gain a regular sport habit. The students will find recreation fields. They will have a sound fair-play soul which will help move the violence in the tiribunes. They will enjoy their school as it will be a more enjoyable school. They will not hesitate to come to school. The project will socialise the shy students. It will be easier for these students to be involved in the society. As their self-confidence will increase, they will be successful in their occupations in the future. To sum up, our project will use different kinds of sport for multi-functional aims. We believe that this project will be a great practice for our students,teachers, and parents.
