SpeakUP against discrimination

In the world where word discrimination is well known by every one of us, it seems that the meaning and elements of discrimination, as rising issue of the modern world, are still unknown to many of the young people. Unfortunately, many factors still give rise to discrimination in the modern world, including people’s ethnic, national or social origins, their religion, language, gender. political leanings, sexual orientation, age, state of health and so forth. This project will give a chance to young people to gain knowledge and reflect upon and to address key values related to discrimination, tolerance, equality . Participants will be able to increase their professional competences in developing and evaluating projects with young people, developing their own understanding and ways of reacting on discrimination. Participants will also gain leadership skills and develop local, regional, national and international projects considering this issue, but also get introduced about role of EU in our everyday life. Program of the Youth Exchange is adapted to the needs of participants and contain various forms of non-formal learning methods such as simulations, brainstorming, work in the groups, debates, presentations, etc. Project gather 36 representatives of youth organisations and organisations working with youth from Croatia, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Czech Republic.
