The focus in this activity is international girls* empowerment and the question of nowadays up-to-dateness and relevance of feminism in society and educational work. The participants from Italy, Sweden, Estonia, Croatia, Turkey and Germany will get to know methods of out of school education focussed on genderrelated topics and the role of girls* and women* in Europe and the participating countries. We will work on basics of seminarconception and –implementation especially for international projects. After this week the participants are ready prepared to accompany groups to international youthmeetings, to assume parts of the programs or to implement small projects on their own.Together we’ll develop a game on feminism and role of girls* and women in society which can be used in educational work. We will fix everything we worked on in a brochure to take home (documentation). in the second actitivity 50 from 7 countries (Croatia, Turkey, Poland, Sweden, Estonia, Italy and Germany) meet in the Harz Mountains to talk and discuss about gender equality, female roles and chlichés in the participating countries and Europe. Starting point will be music and the examination of females in popular culture and music (as musicians, producers,
promoters and subjects of lyrics..). We will try new instruments, improve our musical skills and our stage presence beside genderspecific expectations and gender roles. Moreover we want to discuss about women’s righs, reflect on genderspecific expectations and discrimination andempower and inspire each other to find possibilities to deal with it. The highlight of the youthmeeting will be the final show where all the results will be presented.
We want to make signifant contributions in empowering girls to improve their self-esteem and their chances to implement their personal or job-related aims. Moreover we want to imlement the contents we worked on in the participating organisations, learn from each other and improve our skills as participants, facilitators and organisations. We want to start steady cooperations in which we will work together in future, too.
