CONTEXT / BACKGROUND:Our project focuses on the problem of social exclusion and the need to enhance the inclusive behaviour through youth and physical/sport activity. Goes through the confrontation of its resolution through the contribution of youth and of physical/sport activity, acting directly on the youth sector.Through the training of youth workers in intervention for social inclusion among the young, it is possible to act preventively on a "disease" that after installed can become incurable.NEEDS:In this sense, it is necessary the training of youth workers to the social intervention to a comprehensive level, as a preventive factor and a resolution of one of the most serious problems of the current society: social exclusion.The needs that we want to bridge are:1) valuation of social inclusion;2) valuation of youth action through the physical/sport activity;3) valuation of non-formal education methodology;4) valuation of European identity, active citizenship, intercultural dialog and multiculturalism;5) valuation of empowerment of youth workers to the intervention in social inclusion through physical/sport activity.OBJECTIVESWe define as general objective of the project for the empowerment of youth workers in social and youth intervention for social inclusion through sport.In this sense, we defined as specific objectives:1) Promote empowerment of youth workers while actors of intervention and change in the achievement of the objectives of the Europe 2020;2) Promote awareness and knowledge about the social exclusion and the corresponding role of sport and youth;3) Promote the development of strategies for the youth intervention in the fight against social exclusion by sport and youth;4) Promote training for intercultural dialog, active citizenship and social inclusion;5) Promote the non-formal education as a methodology of training;6) Promote the work of associations in the context of youth, strengthen the international dimension of their activities and boost the future cooperation and the sharing of good practices;7) Promote the creation of spaces for sharing and international friendship between the youth workers and organizations;8) Promote multilingualism (English).PARTICIPANTS:The participants will be youth workers who demonstrate interest and willingness to actively participate in the activities and who have little multicultural experience, aged 18 years old or more. Will participate 40 youth workers, being that at least 30 will be holders of fewer opportunities and will be respected to gender equality.ACTIVITIES:The activities planned can be divided into two moments:1) Training Course: this activity is based on the methodology of the non-formal education and will be promoted to reflection on the problem of the project, the review of the status of its current situation, the sharing of experiences, the discussion about the learning potential, results and impacts and the multicultural European debate. Will result from here a shared construction of the concept of social and youth intervention for social inclusion through sport.2) Seminar: this activity has as purpose the dissemination of results and the sharing of the acquisition/improvement of social, professional and personal skills. Will be part of the strategy of creating an impact on local communities of the participating organizations.METHODOLOGIES:Based on the methodology of the non-formal education. Group dynamics, games of construction, icebreakers, cooperation and division of tasks, discussion and debate, sharing of cultural elements and good practices in youth and sport, resolution of challenges, interaction with the Community and reflection on the learnings.RESULTS AND IMPACTS:It is expected that the participants come out of this project:1) More empowered for implementing strategies of social inclusion;2) More trained for social intervention and youth;3) More proactive and aware of their European citizenship and the role of sport and youth;4) More tolerant and open to difference, to dialog, to the discovery and less stigmatising;5) More knowledgeable of cultures involved;6) Greater social and cultural sensitivity;7) More available for learning in pairs and in group;8) More awake for fundamental values;9) More capable and competent to establish an oral communication in English.BENEFITS:The long term benefits that will feel the level of optimization of youth and sports action, able to promote innovative actions, diverse, motivating, attractive and contextualized in social inclusion, with great potential for apprenticeship, in which young people feel valued in their opinions to act and develop while actors of change.
