Social Entrepreneurship for Social Change

The project aims to raise experienced youth leaders and organization skills on how to actively engage youth to take a proactive stand and dive in social entrepreneurship initiatives, to support and motivate young people from 11 different European countries to think about the social exclusion of youth of today and become active citizens and future entrepreneurs with social mission in their mind. The project will raise youth workers/leaders competencies and bring new ideas on developing innovative ways for youth employment by using social entrepreneurship, but also to use social media software and different media tools for creating better communications for their groups and organizations to reach larger impact in their societies. "Social Entrepreneurship for Social Change” offers youth workers the opportunity to share good practices and to use the skills they gain to spread knowledge in their local communities and engage young participants to approach the issues of employment. The objectives of the project are:• Help youth to develop a more entrepreneurial mind set• To have a positive impact on the qualitative development of youth work primarily linked to entrepreneurship• Change society’s perception on entrepreneurship through awareness raising• Explore social media to leverage projects and initiatives• Empower social entrepreneurs and youth leaders• Promote civic answers that answer local societal challengesThis will be done through 3 different project stages. In the first stage, a TC will be organized for youth workers coming from partner organization in order to provide them with skills and knowledge in social entrepreneurship. The competences gained during the training will be used by the workers in the second stage of the project. The second stage will involve information sharing sessions, and a plan of action regarding local activities will be elaborated, agreed and moved forward, where we will find projects for social entrepreneurship through local contests among young participants age 15-20 years to promote social initiatives and try to further develop their ideas and potentially fund-raise.The third stage of the project will be initiated once the partners have identified and selected young people from their local communities who have the aspiration to become social entrepreneurs or have expressed a potential social enterprise idea, youth exchange will be organized in order to provide the youth with the skills needed to further elaborate and spread their ideas in their local communitiesThe project will intend to have impact not only at the participants but also within the local community where the activity will take place, as well as within the local communities participants are working with. The methodology of work includes variety of methods suitable for reaching the goal and objectives of the project.
