SMGS on the MoVE
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project “SMGŠ on the MoVE”, which is proposed by Multimedia and Graphic Technology Secondary School Ljubljana and planned in cooperation with Finnish partners TREDU from Tampere, Finland, Karlstad-Hammarö Gymnasieskola from Karlstad / Media Educational Center, Älvkullen, Sweden, BSZ Alois Senefelder from Munchen, Germany and Paragon agency from Malta involves the mobility for 20 students of the final year of secondary education in the program for media and graphic technician for their three week on-the-job learning period in a multimedia and/or audio/visual production studio and graphic/printing workshop where they would acquire practical knowledge in the field of multimedia and graphic production and technology as well as 12 vocational teachers from the field of multimedia and graphic technology. The aims of the project is to provide the opportunity for the students and staff to acquire knowledge and experience through practice in the field of multimedia and graphic production and technology in a professional environment where they will be exposed to challenges of the modern technology and forced to use foreign language in communication. The tasks that the students will meet involve: working in a printing workshop in production, working in a multimedia (design) production studio on a project involving graphic design, animation and computer graphics, digitalizing pictures, sounds, video, animations and computer graphics and other multimedia and graphic production tasks as assigned to the students by their mentors. The staff will be involved in 'job shadowing' and performing lectures and workshops for the foreign learners, thus sharing their teaching approach and methodology principles with their colleagues abroad. This way they are expected to increase motivation and teaching competences. The project serves as a continuation of well established partnerships and will enhance the cooperation between institutions and serve as a platform and basis for developing future mutual exchange projects, generating ideas and proposals for cooperation and strengthening the partners network.
