SMEs Qualification Handbook
Start date: Nov 1, 2013,

Reasons for the project: The main need the project is addressing regards the lack of commonly shared methodologies and guidelines for designing qualifications for the SMEs in terms of learning outcomes and with the allocation of ECVET points, and with quality assurance standards and related assessment tools. Project outputs: The project aims to improve the quality of trans-sectoral training systems for SMEs, by incorporating the ECVET provisions foreseen in the ECVET Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council. In particular, the project will provide operational European Guidelines and methods for the implementation of ECVET provisions in the VET programmes, for the SMEs. Impact: VET providers and Universities will benefit from further implementing the Handbook in (re)designing trans-sectoral qualifications for SMEs, and related VET programmes, which will guarantee the relevance for the labour market and will facilitate employee/learner mobility across Europe. The enhancement of formal and non-formal skills of this role and its recognition as a professional qualification, can make the difference between a company which is able to compete thanks to its resources and another one marked by the lack of professionalism in the key moment of the staff recruitment.
