Main speakers are: Dr. Ross Todd from USA, Professor Kari Schmidt from Norway and Joao Paolo Proenca from Portugal.Cultural events are part of the conference and sometimes also school visits. It often happens that participants decide to work together across countries and start a project after they have come to know each other at a conference. It is very good for them and they develop their skills and good work in their school through such a project. Of course it is also very useful for the students in their school. Participants learn about foreign culture, education and help each other to learn more and more and learn to use their new knowledge and technology in their job. When coming back home they also introduce to their colleagues what they learned so it will broaden their horizon and help them keeping up the good job at the school libraries. People from Iceland have often been at Slamit courses and participated in across countries- projects.
