Primary school in Dolné Orešany is similar to any other school in many aspects. However, its ambition is to develop and gradually transform into a modern school. We want to enable our pupils to gain not only knowledge by school development plan, but ,moreover, we want to equip learners with skills and competences which will be the most important for their future studies and real life. The skills are mainly connected with using information technologies and the essential competence is communication in English language.That is the reason for elaboration of strategic school development plan in order to realize gradual transformation of the school. The objective of this project is to carry out the transformation by improvement of teachers´ skills and competences. This is going to be realized by the means of educating the teachers in the areas of innovative teaching methods and IKT during the courses. A colorful variety of staff members will take part in mobilities. All of them will share the knowledge and activities with the rest of the teachers and spread the information to the school staff. The teachers are going to be responsible for implementing the innovative methods into teaching process and for pupils´skill development. Apart from the mobilities, the projects includes other activities: improvement of pupils´ English learning by organizing lessons with native speaking lecturers in collaboration with a language school, changes in the school development plan as for additional English lessons and ICT lessons, organizing project days and open lessons, creating eTwinning projects, demonstrating workshops for teachers and pupils´ parents. This project will provide the teachers with tools which they will disseminate throughout the school as well as community. For that purpose they will document and publish materials on the school website, Twinspace, websites for teachers, etc. Spreading the results will also focus on parents due to the goal concerning a better school image and likely new pupils interested in our school. As far as the project´s impact on the school is concerned, we will improve qualifications of the staff in the area of modern teaching methods, IKT and language skills. Subsequently, our school will be able to provide learners engaging interactive learning environment which will result in better achievements and making their way in future life. In addition, mobility is a chance to enhance intercultural awareness, make contacts abroad, exchange experiences and motivate teachers in their work to establish creative atmosphere. As for the learners, they will be attracted by such activities, become more active and experienced. All the above mentioned will increase the school credits and improve the image of the school in the future.
