The reason for this project is to provide a response to the request of two vocationnal schools, of Federation Wallonia-Brussels, provinding a training in the area of automoblie mechanic. This training is organized by the system of learning outcomes certification. Firstly, schools wish their students completing a learning unit part in a European context to supplement their Passport CPU with a European CV and a Europass Mobility and, secondly, that the skills acquired abroad to be validated by the jury of assement in the end of the school pathway. The project has a duration of 2 years and involves 28 students of the 4 accompanying adults and 4 trainers. Young people will realize a intership for one month in Portugal and Spain to perform mechanical work on the air conditioning system in the Fiat, Citroen, Renault and Honda brands. The objectives of the project are: - to provide opportunities for youth to work with air conditioning systems in countries where the use of air conditioning is intense and where the frequency and variety of their failures will carry out part of the learning unit and to gain real experience; - to increase the level of professional skills and the level of social skills of students working in a real context abroad. - to make young people aware that their job requires an ability to geographical mobility in order to move abroad to training provided by car constructors or to work where the jobs exist; - to make young people aware of the intercultural exchange, democracy and European citizenship. For trainers, the project takes place in the perspective of the updating competencies project launched by the Minister of Education to ensure quality of education and continuing training of trainers with companies involvement. It addresses the need for teachers to confront the demands and realities of a sector in constant technological change and update their knowledges. The trainers will do 4 days of job shadowing within 2 garages in Portugal and Spain to gain knowledge about the diagnosis of failures in hybrid vehicles,in order to update their methodologies and transfert new knowledges to their colleagues and to the students. The coordination of the consortium is made by the CCGPE DGEO. His team has acquired since 2007 experience and expertise in the management of mobility projects and it will share them with the consortium in order to work together and in the same approach to implement actions for the students in accordance with the Erasmus + quality charter. Transnational partners - intermediary organizations and host companies - were selected by their experience in hosting foreign students and by the adequacy of the activities proposed with the professional and social skills required by the trainees. Learning outcomes will be recognized and validated by the school jury and will be incorporated in the final evaluation of the training program for obtaining the 6th grade qualification certificate. With this consortium, schools want to give an international dimension to the mechanical option in order to establish a dynamic through the contribution of new knowledge from the technological advances in the automotive sector and by the positioning of the training by Units in the the perspective of the ECVET system and the European Certification.
