ΣΥΣΤΗΜΑΤΑ ΗΛΕΚΤΡΟΝΙΚΗΣ ΔΙΑΓΝΩΣΗΣ ΑΥΤΟΚΙΝΗΤΩΝ
Start date: Nov 1, 2016, End date: Oct 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The program "ELECTRONIC AUTOMOTIVE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS” concerns new technologies applied to the automotive and specifically to training:1. Emission reduction systems and pollutants2. Electronic diagnostic systemsThe ongoing development and integration of technology in the automotive field has led to the increasing dependence of the operation of electronic systems. The electronic brains that the cars have today, not only contain data and engine mapping but also many other automotive systems as well as many diagnostic functions. The knowledge and training to the possibilities that exist through the use and configuration of computer systems are now an important tool for car mechanics. New technologies have been developed that now allow customization and extension (vehicles which do not already have the infrastructure) of engine emission reduction systems. These are divided into: 1. Electronic Fuel supply management2. Hybrid motorization systems3. Optimization of catalytic systems4. High-pressure fuel injection5. Use of alternative anti-pollution devices (excluding catalyst), such as emission control system, exhaust gas recirculation, positive crankcase ventilation system. Most of these systems are related directly to the electronic brain of the engine. The combination of the installation of such systems with the appropriate configuration of the brain, notably the injection system, can lead to a substantial reduction in the production of pollutants, arising through the efficient combustion achieved, but also to reduce consumption in some cases. THE NEED for new applications, which is still not widely known, can bring very significant results in the total effort made by the EU to reduce environmental pollution. The possibilities that give ELECTRONIC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS of the car itself, as well as autonomous electronic systems can accelerate and simplify considerably the process of locating a fault, as well as the repair. Measurements points of the car that previously were using special instruments, can now be done using the computer, easily and quickly. The use of these systems is imperative as more and more parts of the car are now controlled electronically. Moreover, a large number of autonomous electronic systems is available that can meet even the most specialized needs. This leads to the need to adopt new techniques fault detection and repair of critical computer systems from car mechanics to be able to cope with market demands. The central aim of the proposal is to inform and educate participants on modern debugging and repair techniques for critical electronic components in automobiles as well as training on installation and configuration of pollutant containment systems. The educational needs of members of SISAM, resulting from market requirements, are:Regarding the emission reduction systems:1. Introduction to concepts and theory relating to exhaust gases and pollutants,2. Classification of primary and secondary pollutants,3. Introduction of an exhaust control methods,4. Presentation of technological solutions,5. Catalyst operation Understanding and special systems.Regarding electronic diagnostics:1. Coverage a wider range of repairs,2. Use of modern tools for diagnostics and debugging,3. Possibility of maintenance and repair in injection systems,4. Learning functions and capabilities of fault detection systems,5. Information in auto repair brain potentialThe coverage of the needs will enrich and update the knowledge of participants on issues of repair and maintenance of electronic automotive components related to the operation of the engine as well as training staff on pollutant reduction systems.Under this strategy the central aim of the project is to provide training programs in selected foreign bodies so members belonging to the Association, to acquire new knowledge and skills that will open up new prospects in their business and transfer their knowledge in their employees. The total project duration is 15 days and will involve 20 participants that will go to Germany with host organisation Europäisches Fortbildungszentrum GmbH. Potential beneficiaries in the mobility are entrepreneurs and HR managers from business members of SISAM.
