The “New Knowledge Synergy” project is a mobility project with the goal to gain new knowledge and experience in order to overhaul and modernize educational programmes at the Ribnica Handicraft Centre. Both project partners are organisations which are active in the field of preserving local handicrafts and providing education to adults with the aim to conserve traditional know-how and improve the quality of handicraft products. The project is participated in by four Handicraft Centre employees. They have undertaken the mobility activity "job shadowing". The aim of mobility activity was to gain new knowledge and experience for modernazing the didactics of learning materials for the wickerwork school and pottery school. The aim has been achieved, also the expected outcomes: new teaching methods and tools in the wickerwork and pottery programmes, updated study materials for the two programmes, new knowledge and experience for the participants and their mentors, completed mobility for four participants, four Europass Mobility documents and new international ties. During the mobility participants got know the work and experience of Scottish handicraft centre Craft Town Scotland. Each participant had its own professional mentor, who presented their's daily activities and main organisations, with which they cooperate on the daily basis. Positive impacts of the project are reflected on different levels: on the level of participants, applicant organisation and local level. The project contributed positive impact also on the regional level, and with diversification of adults educational programmes also on the national level.
