Siemens Zrt. szakképzésében résztvevő diákok szakmai gyakorlata Mülheimben
Start date: Nov 1, 2014, End date: Oct 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

By 2016 the number of students studying a trade at Siemens is going to reach 100. Signing training contracts with the young people, it provides them the opportunity to practice in groups with a „school-like”atmosphere. The forerunner of this program greatly assisted the work of the professional educational department, set up for this very purpose one and a half years ago within Siemens Zrt. Already 25 students have had the chance and will have the chance to complete a trainee ship abroad in the summer of 2013 and 2014. This current project will be the continuation of that 2-year project, planned for another 2 years, for the classes taking part in the Siemens training. Meanwhile the number of students will treble. In the summer of 2015 and 2016 (for 3-3 weeks) 2 x 18 students, and 2 x 2 escorts are projected to participate in the trainee ship at the Siemens. One day before the training will be a day to acclimation and preparation of the students. Training Department in Mülheim over the duration of the project allowing time for safe and thorough organization, between 01 11 2014 – 31 10 2016. This trainee ship is very useful from the point of view of both the participants and the company, as it means gaining important professional experience and personal development for the students with a long-term effect. On the one hand the participating students have a chance to deepen and expand their knowledge acquired at home during the school year, working with the professional and emphatic instructors (with years of professional educational experience from the highest level of technical background) of the training center. In the case of lower year students the +3 weekly „routine” and rigourous application will have a tangible effect on the next year’s training by fostering a professional approach. After the trainee ship with the certification (Europass) the long-range aim of the program is to provide more successful and productive opportunities to find employment in the domestic and international labour markets. In a working environment which is different from the domestic one, besides new processes, similar technologies might gain new significance. Their work experience and their attitude as „European professionals”: accurate, precise, conscientious, with a suitable comprehension and appreciation of what the job will involved… will widen and strengthen. On the other hand beyond the acquisition of new know-how and practising the „tricks” of the trade such a professional experience means immense personal development for this age-group: experiencing separation from their parents for weeks, for some also their first trip abroad, becoming independent, cohabiting with a team for a long time or just learning to „get by” because of the language difficulties, all are inevitable, so all that with its sense of adventure should mean this is a formative life experience and a developmental milestone for the participants. In Hungary this company and the hosts attached to this program contribute to the success of the corporate professional education programme started by Siemens in 2012. Not only the development of the participant as outlined above but also their trainers (mentors, escorts) can also benefit by developing both their professional and pedagogical skills, empathy, problem solving and other competences, as instructors. Both the company as well as the participants gain from best practice and professional experiences in the field of vocational education. The „processing” and utilizing of reports and common assessments, those methods and modules can be built into their local education. The process of execution: the preparation of the application within the regular project period would commence after the signing of the sponsorship agreement from 01 11 2014. The first term planned far in advance might result in a less hectic, longer and more efficient preparation and preparational organization compared to last year’s project: the participants of the terms are always selected in the first semester of the term based on an important system of criteria. The preparation may last for a minimum of a half a year leaving enough time for the formulation of the necessary motivation and (professional) curiosity. Besides the continuous language training, for 1-2 months before the journey the students get intensive language, mental and cultural preparation, then three weeks of work experience. The time of the practical training is determined by the schedule of the school year, pre-planned tightly for the weeks after the annual work. Interim assessments: at each stage of the schedule a very important element of the programme is the evaluation of the work done so far in order to assist possible updating, improvement or leavening. It is especially important to pay attention to the diaries and Mobility Tool reports written by the participants, and to the interim reports to be sent to the sponsor (after the first term).
